Dr. Jennie S. Hwang is appointed the Chairman of Laboratory Assessment Board of The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (The National Academies).
The primary focus of The Laboratory Assessment Board is to oversee The National Academies activities involving review and assessment of the technical quality and impact of research conducted at federal, national laboratories and other research enterprises. Assessments are performed by the National Academies committees appointed under the auspices of the Laboratory Assessment Board and established separately for each institution and/or laboratory to be reviewed.
