Evolve Additive Solutions announced that Andreas Saar, Vice President of Manufacturing Engineering Solutions at Siemens Digital Industries Software, has been appointed to its Board of Directors effective October 2020.
Andreas has spent his 37-year career in the manufacturing industry. He inaugurated and led the Additive Manufacturing (AM) Program in Siemens Digital Industries Software, has a vast knowledge of customer and industry needs and a deep understanding of an industrial, production-integrated, end-to-end approach to AM. Andreas will support Evolve’s commitment of delivering performance for true additive manufacturing production. His appointment will provide valuable input on direction, guidance, and strategy of I4.0 and digital front-end technology.
“We welcome Andreas to our Board. He is a great addition and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge,” stated Steve Chillscyzn, Founder and CEO of Evolve Additive Solutions. “His leadership as a veteran in the industry is a huge asset as we continue to increase our global footprint.”
“I am honored to join the board of directors for Evolve as a strong believer in the Evolve’s approach to additive part production,” stated Saar. “Evolve’s Selective Thermoplastic Electrophotographic Process (STEP) automation potential and integration into industrial production environments are real game changers for the industry on its way to large volume additive production. This technology is a unique response to the industry demand for reliable, repeatable production of thermoplastic end-user parts.”
This appointment expands Evolve’s board to six members, all whom hold deep industry knowledge in manufacturing, technology, and innovation.
